Week 4 – Drawing
Starting 10th August
Monday – Thursday,
10am – 3pm
£40 per day / £130 for all 4 days

Recommend age 7 and up, however if your child is younger and you feel they would be able to concentrate on one activity for 45 minutes, then please do book them in.

Forget everything you think drawing is supposed to be. This workshop series is about discovering drawing as a form of expression, energy, experimentation, and play—not simply copying what you see.

Across the sessions, you will explore a variety of drawing techniques, materials, and approaches that challenge the idea that drawing has to be careful, controlled, or “perfect.” Through expressive mark making, observational studies, large-scale work, layered media, and creative prompts, you’ll discover how drawing can communicate movement, emotion, atmosphere, and personality.

These workshops encourage you to loosen up, take risks, and develop confidence in your own visual language. Rather than focusing purely on accuracy, we’ll explore how artists use line, texture, composition, and gesture to create work that feels alive and personal.

Whether you are completely new to drawing or looking to break out of creative habits, this is a space to experiment freely, reconnect with imagination, and rediscover the joy of making marks without fear of getting it “wrong.”

You can attend a single session for a standalone creative experience, or join all four days at a discounted rate to build confidence, skills, and a more expressive approach to drawing over time.

We will have 40 minute lunch break – please bring lunch with you to enjoy in the studio. Alternatively you can take a walk down the High Street where there are a couple of cafes to choose from if you’re old enough to go on your own.

We believe creativity should be accessible to everyone. If you feel your child would benefit from one of our workshops but financial circumstances make this difficult, please get in touch with us in confidence. Through our Pay It Forward scheme, we may be able to offer supported places, and we would hate for anyone to miss out on the benefits of creativity due to cost. Equally, if you are in a position to contribute towards our Pay It Forward scheme and help another child access our workshops, we would love to hear from you.
