We have plenty of creative fun planned for this half term, from Family Crafternoons, where everyone can get stuck in together, to relaxed sessions like “I Can’t Draw!” and “I Want to Paint!”, which are perfect for building confidence and having a go. There are also a range of themed workshops to enjoy, including Sea Creature Art, Seussical Art Day, Printing Patterns, Clay Cup & Saucer, and a magical Harry Potter Art Day. There’s something for everyone, with lots of opportunities to explore different materials, get creative, and have fun.

“I Can’t Draw!”

” I Can’t Draw!” How many times have you said it? “I can’t draw.” Not a straight line. Not a stick figure. Not anything that looks like it’s ‘meant’ to.

“I Want to Paint!!”

You’ve said it to yourself more than once: “I want to paint.” Maybe you don’t know where to begin – or which brush, surface, or paint to choose. Maybe you’ve tried before but felt unsure or overwhelmed. This workshop is your place to start.

I Want to Paint!’ is a relaxed, supportive introduction to the world of painting for absolute beginners. Over a series of practical, inspiring sessions, you’ll explore a range of materials—from watercolour and acrylics to oils and gouache—while learning how each behaves and what makes them unique. Sea Creature Art Workshop
Monday 16th February

Suitable for children aged 7+

Set sail on a creative adventure inspired by the fascinating world beneath the waves. In this one-day workshop, young artists will explore the shapes, colours, and textures of sea creatures through painting, sculpture, and imaginative crafts. For our longer days, please bring lunch with you to enjoy in the studio or you can take a walk down the High Street where there are a couple of cafes to choose from if you’re old enough to go on your own.
