Suitable for children aged 6+

Step into the colours and textures of Spring in this joyful one-day workshop designed especially for our younger artists, or as we like to call them – Doodlebugs! Children will explore their creativity through painting, sculpture with air-dry clay, drawing, and papercrafts.

This workshop isn’t just about making seasonal crafts—it’s about sparking imagination and giving children the tools to really observe their surroundings. Through guided projects, they will learn how to translate the shapes, colours, and patterns into their own artwork, while building confidence in handling different materials.

From textured clay sculptures to colourful paper collages and expressive drawings, children will come away with unique creations that reflect their own ideas and personality. More importantly, they will discover how art can help them notice details, tell stories, and celebrate the changing seasons.

For our longer days, please bring lunch with you to enjoy in the studio or you can take a walk down the High Street where there are a couple of cafes to choose from if you’re old enough to go on your own.

To book the workshops please book here via Eventbrite.

Please see more information on the people behind Arty Farty Retreat, our safeguarding policy and our refund policy.

If you feel your child would benefit from one of our workshops but can’t afford it, please contact us. We have a pay it forward scheme and would hate for anyone to miss out on the benefit of creativity because of financial issues. Equally if you are able to pay it forward for someone else to benefit from our workshops, please get in touch.
