Slow down and look closely. The Botanical Sketchbook is a two-hour creative practice grounded in quiet observation, seasonal rhythms, and a deepening relationship with both nature and your own artistic voice.

Designed for those with some drawing or painting experience, this workshop offers the space to refine your skills while staying open to discovery. Working with ink, pencil, watercolour, and more materials, you’ll learn to capture not just the form of plants – but their texture, energy, and quiet presence on the page.

As we follow the changes of the natural world – from autumn seedheads to winter buds – your sketchbook will become a living record of the year’s turning, a reflection of time, attention, and creative growth.

More than a technical class, The Botanical Sketchbook is a practice in presence. It’s a chance to step away from the noise, tune into the details, and connect with a community of like-minded creatives who value authentic expression, curiosity, and the meditative joy of drawing from life. This workshop is led by our Arty Farty SmARTy Michelle, please find out more about her and other artists at the studio here.
