During this workshop we will introduce you to the basic principles of animation and how to make your very own moving drawings. Don’t worry if you don’t have a lot of experience in drawing cartoons or anime characters, we will be able to animate everything you draw.
You’ll learn to create movement and animated short stories using optical illusions, drawing sequences and imagination. All materials are provided and you will leave the workshop with your own Thaumatrope – a 19th century optical toy, a flip book and Zoetrope to continue to animate at home.
Suitable ages: 8 + Projects: Flip books, Thaumatrope and Zoetropes.
