The doll project explores what dolls are and how they’re used in different cultures. From a comfort blanket to a voodoo doll to a corn dolly – they’re used for lots of things.
We will ask you to pick from the following films/ TV series to inspire your doll:
– Coraline
– The Nightmare Before Christmas
– Wednesday
– Paranorman
We’ll look at the patterns, colours and styles of these films when designing your doll. Your doll can take any shape and be made out of anything! We can’t wait to see what creepy creations you create!
This one is for the teenagers!
Please bring lunch with you to enjoy in the studio or you can take a walk down the High Street where there are a couple of cafes to choose from if you’re old enough to go on your own.
To book any of our workshops please book via eventbrite.
Please see more information on the people behind Arty Farty Retreat, our safeguarding policy and our refund policy.
If you feel your child would benefit from one of our workshops but can’t afford it, please contact us. We have a pay it forward scheme and would hate for anyone to miss out on the benefit of creativity because of financial issues. Equally if you are able to pay it forward for someone else to benefit from our workshops, please get in touch.
