Location: Starting and ending at the studio in Southborough
Get your sketchbooks ready for a creative outdoor adventure! In this Walk & Draw Workshop, children will explore the streets, green spaces, and hidden corners of Southborough, capturing the mix of urban life and nature through drawing and colour.
We’ll begin at the studio with a short introduction and sketchbook warm-up, then head out on a gentle walk around the town, stopping at key spots to observe, sketch, and be inspired by everything from architecture and shopfronts to trees, flowers, and wildlife. Weather permitting, we’ll enjoy a picnic-style lunch outdoors, giving time to soak up the atmosphere and add detail to our drawings.
Back at the studio, children will bring their favourite sketch to life on canvas or paper using paints, pencils, or mixed media, guided by friendly support and plenty of encouragement.
It’s a relaxed and inspiring day that blends creativity, fresh air, and new ways of seeing the world around us.
All materials are provided – just bring a packed lunch, comfy shoes, and dress for the weather!
