Papercraft Day
Sunday 3rd April, 11am to 3pm, Ages 8 and upwards

A whole day making 2D and 3D creations with paper!  If you’re a stationery and art supplies nut like we are – then you will love all the different crafts you can make with all the different papers we have!  From bead making to origami to pop up cards – we’re going to have so much fun!

Clay Days

Monday 4th April and Monday 11th April, 11am to 3pm both days, Ages 8 and upwards

A 2-day experience.  A whole day squishing the very tactile clay into your own beautiful sculptures followed by a whole day glazing and decorating the following week to allow enough time for firing in between. Find out more here.

Story making Day

Tuesday 5th April, 11am to 3pm, Ages 8 and up

A whole day creating characters and stories with Vicki!  Vicki is a professional illustrator and storyteller!  Vicki will guide you through using mixed media and sketching to create your stories inspired by your imagination!  You will look at children’s authors and illustrators and see how they make stories come to life.  This workshop is great for those with big imaginations and want to increase their confidence in sharing their stories. find out more information here.

Lantern Making

Wednesday 6th April, 10am to 1pm, Ages 8 and up

We’ll be looking at architecture around the world to inspire our lanterns which we will the create with recycled cardboard, paint with acrylics and light up with LEDS!  The perfect thing to decorate your bedroom or Easter table! find out more information here.

Puppet Making Day

Thursday 7th April, 11am to 3pm, Ages 8 and up

Learn how puppets work, create and decorate your own.  During this professionally led workshop you will:

  • Understand how different joins work.
  • Discover how to get the movement of your puppet just right.
  • Learn about famous puppet makers around the world. 
  • Design and create your very own puppet.
  • Use your puppet in a puppet show at the end of the day

Fancy a change, fancy exploring your creative side? well why not come along to our improve day, and get the chance to have fun with improvised live theatre, we experiment with plots, characters and dialogue which are made up in the moment. Find out more information here.

Charcoal and Ink Day
Saturday 9th April, 11am to 3pm, Ages 8 and up.

so fun and produce amazing results!  Take part in still life drawing and mark making to get you started with these lovely materials before learning about how other artists use them to create masterpieces.  Armed with lots of tips, techniques and new skills you’ll then be supported to make your own fabulous drawings! find out more information here.

A fun day for all ages!  So many different creations including drawing, making, sculpture, painting and much more!  Come and join in the fun to get excited about the Spring and this new season!  It’s a season of hope and new beginnings!  The perfect time to try a new crafty hobby!

Draw with Illustrator Pete Williamson

Wednesday 13th April, 10am to 12pm

Come along and learn how to draw fantastic, fun illustrations with Pete. Pete is the illustrator of the much-loved ‘Stitch Head’ and ‘Skeleton Keys’ series, as well as many other books. He will be showing how to create engaging characters, as well as all the other elements needed to bring a children’s book to life.

Animal Drawing with Pets Fayre

Wednesday 13th April, 1pm to 4pm, Ages 8 and up

After gathering the materials you need from the studio visit the local pet shop Pets Fayre to draw all the fabulous animals boarding there for the holidays!  Our artists will guide you through all the tricks of the trade when it comes to drawing animals from life!
