This is a fun way for both beginners and those wishing to improve, to spend some time learning the techniques I use in my own painting, in a relaxed environment.
The three styles of portrait I produce are a simplified ink and watercolour portrait on white watercolour paper, a straightforward watercolour portrait on white watercolour paper and a soft watercolour and ink portrait on toned mixed media paper all of which will be covered. We will also look at the individual features in detail plus any areas you request during the classes.
You will be encouraged to work from your own photographs but further reference images will be provided at certain points.
Watercolours, pens, pencils etc will be provided. Paper will be available at a small cost per sheet but it is advisable to invest in a plastic art carrier available very cheaply from a variety of stores to keep your work in, as time goes on you may find you would like your own brushes, paints etc to use at home.
For the first class please bring along 3 A4 photocopies of your first chosen image. This should be an adult face taken in close up and can come from any source.
To book any of our workshops please book online via eventbrite. Alternatively, please call or email: 07792 033 156 or firstname.lastname@example.org
